Therefore, L’Opéra’s Executive Chef Amit Sinha has prepared a selection of pastries specifically for the season, using Mango. “Mango is known as the king of fruits; what I like about it is its versatility and how it can be combined with many other ingredients due to its light sweetness and mellowness when it is ripe,” he says. Innovating with ingredients to bring customers fresh experiences in line with the refinement of our brand is what L’Opéra is about. This year L’Opéra has launched 5 refreshing pastries.

 

The Mango Basil mousse swimmingly combines the fruit with carefully selected Basil, leaving a balanced taste of sweetness. The Mango Cardamom tart takes advantage of the versatility of this fruit with the added flavour of Cardamom, a spice that is seldom used in desserts.

  

Then there is the Citrus Delight, lemon mousse, orange and raspberry jelly; a simple, balanced yet delightful dessert that is not to be missed. “Our jewel-like Macarons are one of the most beloved products,” reveals Laurent Samandari, co-founder and managing director of L’Opéra. “So, we thought we would launch them in a larger version, with a more tropical filling” he goes on. The Mango Macaron with raw mango and mango mousse is a unique rendering of nature’s candy, while the Strawberry and Lychee Macaron – on the sweeter side – is bound to be a hit with the younger crowd.

 

 

 

 “If there is one reason to brave the scorching weather,” says Laurent, “it should be for a refreshing pastry experience at L’Opéra.” Otherwise, we do have a delivery option as well.
