I went for lunch to Indigo as a part of Delhi restaurant week, with a vegetarian friend. I never knew that complex or this restaurant even existed. It is a proper fine dine restaurant with all the bells and whistles. The food would have been perfect had the potato in the gnocchi and my fish been cooked less, but near perfect was good enough for me.

My vegetarian friend ordered potato and leek soup with truffle which was awesome. Potato and green garlic gnocchi, slow roasted tomatoes zesty lemon cream was ordered a la carte (Rs 450) was more like aloo tikki.

He looked happy with his main course of morel fettucini with roasted mushroom, pumpkin, and pecorino fondue.

I was luckier with my selection, it seems. Seared Canadian scallops with Wasabi cream, slow roasted tomato and almond butter were quite a treat. The main course of almond crusted grouper with zucchini, mustard tempered stewed cherry tomatoes was nice, albeit the fish could have been flakier if cooked less.

Desserts were great. White chocolate and Grand Marnier cheesecake with tangerine marmalade, orange candy was a perfect balance of tastes. Dulce de leche ice cream tasted both comforting and indulgent.

I will go back for the interiors, and definitely the food. Hopefully with someone else paying!
