Cafe Di Ghent is located on the second floor of Cross Point mall in DLF phase IV with a very pleasing decor and it is a nice cosy environment. They newly added, Di Ghent Boulangerie ambience is different with couches and sofas which make one feel very relaxed. One is greeted with a friendly smile and the people are very courteous.

We always like to start our day, especially on the weekends with a good, hearty breakfast. They have an excellent breakfast menu with choice of eggs, Bagels, Croissants, Pancakes, and Waffles with a wide choice of toppings. The shakes and the smoothies are highly recommendable and the choice of coffee, tea with freshly baked muffins, cinnamon roll, sliced cakes are a delight.

We started off with fresh watermelon juice, which was very refreshing. They have an excellent choice of eggs and our favourites are the Egg Benedict. The eggs are poached in beer and laid on English Muffins with a choice of various toppings. We ordered the Pieter’s, poached eggs topped on the muffin with ham, creamed spinach and homemade Hollaindaise sauce. The poached eggs were poached to perfection and the spinach sauce was smooth and creamy. A bite of the egg with the muffin, ham and the spinach sauce tasted awesome.

They have the best Egg Benedict with a variety of choice from Salmon, Bacon, Parma Ham and tomatoes with goat cheese for vegetarians. Our next order was Beke, it is an omelette with choice of any three options and being a hardcore non-vegetarian foodie, we ordered bacon, ham and Provolone cheese. The omelette was soft with the Provolone cheese nice and creamy with the meat. There is a wide choice of omelette, scrambled eggs and for the fitness conscious foodie there is a choice of whole egg or egg white.

We wanted to taste Bagel and thus ordered Lehaye, bagel with smoked salmon and boiled eggs. The bagels were freshly baked and the combination of salmon with boiled eggs tasted very good.

We were full by tasting the three dishes but had to finish off on a sweet note. We ordered Waffles with maple syrup, whipped cream and dark chocolate sauce. The waffles were crisp on the outside and soft inside with the toppings, which just melted in our mouth and it felt like sheer bliss.

Finally, we finished our breakfast with hot coffee. We ordered Cafe Americano and the Iced Cappuccino. There is a wide choice of hot coffee, Coffee on the Rocks (cold coffee) and tea. The Americano had a strong aroma and with a dash of milk it was soothing. The iced cappuccino was nice and frothy with the right taste and not too sugary.

We were very happy not only with the quality of food but with the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. I would recommend to foodies looking for a good satisfied breakfast and rate our experience 4.5.
