Gurgaon Foodie member Arunima Khanna runs a home kitchen called Aarush specializing in Mediterranean cuisine, considered one of the healthiest cuisines in the world (and surely one of the tastiest too). So I was happy when she offered to send me a few dishes from their newly launched website - http://www.aarushfoods.com/ offering Mediterranean dishes like shawarmas, salads , rice dishes, pita pockets.

The packaging is good, vibrant colored corrugated boxes with neat boxes inside. Everything arrives fresh looking and there are no spillages.

 My feedback on the dishes I received.

Fatoush Salad (Rs 160) – Very fresh and the deep-fried crispy bread is delicious. The portion size is huge and can be easily shared between 2-3 people. The dressing is well flavoured with sumac, but seemed a little less for the big portion of salad and should be increased.

Falafel platter (Rs 200) – Nicely made falafel pockets. I just felt it would be better if the falafel are left whole and not smashed inside the pita with a yoghurt based sauce as it becomes a bit soggy. My suggestion to Arunima was to send everything separately and let people arrange their own Falafel sandwich.

Mutton Kofta Platter (Rs 275) – Well flavoured & juicy koftas, came with a smaller portion of the Fattoush salad. I liked that everything was sent separately, one can make their own sandwich.

Hummus & Garlic Toum in the platters are both fantastic. Hummus was subtle flavoured as it should be.

Overall I loved the food and the pricing is quite reasonable for the fresh, good quality food with big portions.
