Johnny Rockets was founded on June 6, 1986, at Los Angeles, USA. Its decor is based upon 1950s diner-style restaurants. Decor includes vintage photographs, individual jukebox stations, chrome accents and red vinyl seats. The staff is known to sing and dance every half-hour, and making a smiley face with ketchup on the paper plate when serving French fries. None of this happens at the Cyberhub Johnny Express outlet. Instead the prices are cheaper.

I am here with family for a burger treat. So we order three burgers, one wrap and one American fries. Since it is impossible to sit inside with a strong and unpleasant odour of food, we kept shifting our table outside till we could find some shade. Then one followed the process of seeing the menu at the table, then going and placing order at the cashier, get a number, place it on the table and wait. The food arrived pretty quickly, and the taste of the burgers made it all worth it.

The Original (lamb burger, Rs 235) is the burger which Johnny Rockets started with, with shredded iceberg lettuce, tomato, chopped onion, relish, pickles, mustard and mayonnaise. The lamb patty is juicy and it is a beautiful burger. Wish someone discovers a burger bun that does not disintegrate half way through.

Bacon Cheddar (lamb burger, Rs 265) with smoked bacon, cheddar, iceberg lettuce, fresh tomato, chopped onions and special sauce is a great indulgence, if you are really hungry. Spicy Texan (chicken burger, Rs 195), has shredded iceberg lettuce, tomato, chopped onions, pickle, spicy sauce and mayonnaise. As the name suggests it is spicy and the chicken breast fillet has been cooked just right.

The only disappointment is Chicken wrap (Rs 225) with grilled and shredded chicken breast, grilled onions, grilled capsicum, shredded cheddar and spicy Houston sauce. Somehow individually the elements are good but as a roll it just does not seem to work.

                  Chicken Wrap                                      American Fries

Makes sense to drop in for an Original Burger here if you are at Cyberhub.
