The review was done after paying for the meal

When my friend and fellow Gurgaon Foodie Sarraju Narasinga Rao and I decided to meet over lunch, this glorious weather strongly encouraged us to go meaty, and we decided to go back to Karim’s at old Gurgaon for kababs and nahari. Like most of the old restaurants in Gurgaon this one too has slipped.

We started with our traditional starter order of Mutton Seekh Kabab (4 pieces; Rs 360) and Shami Kabab (2 pieces, Rs 260). The kababs have slipped. The seekh is not at all juicy and the shamis are dry on the inside.

Hoping we would be luckier with the main course; we are partially lucky. Firdausi Korma or Rogan Josh (Rs 480) has decent gravy but the quality of meat is bad and the mutton pieces are too hard to chew. So much so that we have to return the dish, but the replacement comes too late.

The highlight of the meal is a delicious and falling of the bone Nahari (Rs 490) and delicious Khameeri Roti (Rs 25).

So would I recommend this place? Not sure - if I were to visit this place, I would do it for the combination of Nahari and Khameeri roti, and skip the rest.
