I am one of the unfortunate minions of the almighty who has been blessed with a serious case of ‘Sweet Tooth’. The menu of Bombaykery was enough to have me drooling and one fine Sunday I got down to the big job.

The goods were delivered well in time as committed and were very well packaged.

To begin my sweet journey, I had the twin pack of brownies which had a Chocolate chunk brownie and a Red velvet cheesecake brownie (Rs. 120). The former was crunchy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside, the perfect chocolate brownie. The latter has a nice smooth texture and a good red velvet flavour but left me a bit wanting.

The next thing on the agenda was an ultimate Belgian dark chocolate fudge (Rs. 180). This was an absolute steal for the price, elegantly packaged and totally awesome. The dark chocolate flavour along with the roasted nuts and the awesome texture, all made it perfect!

There was a pack of Minis which included three types of tarts, three cheesecakes and three cupcakes. I would say that this way of serving is my favourite as you can taste so much at the same time! And price at Rs. 60/piece I would say very affordable too.

So the cheesecakes (Strawberry, Raspberry and Blueberry) were all good with the Blueberry being my favourite. Found the strawberry a tad bit too sharp for my palate.

The tarts (Lemon, Passion fruit and Chocolate and salted caramel) all had distinct flavours. Out of these, the chocolate and salted caramel did the trick for me although I am mostly a lemon tart lover. The lemon tart with its smooth lemon curd and toppings of mini meringues and candied lemon peels and the passion fruit tart with its hidden passion fruit jelly did give tough competition but the hint of salt in that oozing caramel and chocolate were just too good. I did have one complaint about the tarts though. Found the tart shells way too hard and I had to literally push through to take a bite. Gave the feedback to the chef and was very well received.

The cup cakes (Red velvet, dark chocolate and Nutella) were all nice and regular.

The absolute delight which had me drooling even as I wrote the review was the Nutty Chocolate travel cake (Rs. 350). The name given does justice as it is packaged in a way that it is perfect to be carried on trips or picnics. This delightful cake was perfectly sweet, utterly soft, the chocolate on top was super smooth and the candied nuts gave it another dimension altogether.

I had had a load of sweet by now and was about to die of the sugar induced high and along came the Cheese sticks (Rs. 200) to save the day! These were nice and crisp topped with black and white sesame seeds. The nice spicy kick makes them the perfect snack to be had with your evening cuppa or your night time cocktail.

The last two things were the Belgian chocolate mousse cake and the Hazelnut crispy crunch (Rs. 150). The former had a perfect mirror glaze on top and the smooth dark chocolate mousse flavour was perfectly balanced by the underlying fluffy meringue.

The latter is the bakery’s signature cake and although my serving had given in a bit to the stifling April heat, I could feel the many layers as I dug into it. There was a crunchy biscuit base, a soft cake, a light chocolate mousse, bits of hazelnut and a whole top layer of praline glaze. There was big fat hazelnut sitting on top too. Yummy indeed!

I just about survived the sweet, yummy goodness that day. Overall a delicious experience. Will be ordering my birthday cake from here for sure this time J
