My first visit to Farzi.. I liked the place but not in super awe of it..

Had a free cocktail/mocktail offer due to booking through a popular dining booking service. Opted for an Italian Smooch (Coke with some mint and lime).. in this scorching heat, it was refreshing..

I am a converted vegetarian for today, so menu was strictly vegetarian (yeah yeah I know how sad)... For Starters, we ordered Wild Mushroom. .. But before that could come in, we were offered Mishti Doi shot which I wasnt much impressed with. Wild Mushrooms were heavenly..

For mains we ordered, Gucci Risotto and Rajasthani Kadhi with rice and onion rings. Gucci Risotto was great. Yes, I am a mushroom freak (if you havent figured it yet) but trust me I am not being biased here..

The Rajsthani Kadhi combo wasn't great...after looking at the other offerings.. this one fell short on expectations. Shared the feedback with the server when asked how are we liking our food and to our surprise he got the chef to talk to us and we explained how it paled (pun unintended) in front of other dishes which were oh so high on fusion factor.. He took the feedback and asked if we would like to order something else.. but we were too full by then gorging on all the mushrooms and the freebies..

The crockery was so cute.. especially the kadhi bowl which was like a magic lamp. In between, they provided us with Hajmola Candy to cleanse the palette. and this one was yummmmmiiiiieeee.. loved it.

So asked for cheque, but the chef got us the Parle G Cheesecake for us complimentary.. and my first thought was --- there goes my diet.. But never to refuse good food (read desserts) I had rabri and gems and biscuits.. (not too fond of cream cheese) so left that out.. and barely trudged out of the place with tummyfull of happiness..

Will definitely go back and try out the non-veg fare that they have on offer. I thought it is expensive, but it wasn't. For all of the above, we paid 1800 inclusive of taxes, which is not bad at all !
