I wanted to end the year on a delicious note, and I chose to go back to the tried and tested Gung along with a friend. Such delicious food!
As usual we settle into one of the private dining rooms, with a barbeque dome brought in for freshly prepared Korean barbecue. And me being pretty sure that one should stick to the tried and tested, I order my usual dishes.
We start with a Banchan of many different small plates including their superb kimchi (best in Gurgaon), steamed spicy beans, potato, spring onions, egg roll, potato pancake and many more that were delicious but I was clueless about what they were, all of it free of course.
A great Kimchi Jigae (Pork and Kimchi Stew; Rs 650) arrives first which one has along with steamed rice.
Next comes Gochujang Samgyups (Spicy pork belly grilled; Rs 1200) straight on the grill. This was had wrapped in lettuce leaves and dipped into sauces. Both the dishes hit the spot.
Food here is fun, tasty and tailor made for this freezing weather.
