This was my second time at this restaurant, the first being at their other posher branch at Infocity road. Though the interiors are more basic, the food is as enjoyable.
The Odia Veg Thali (Rs 135) is far too basic to be my favourite but things start looking up with the non-vegetarian dishes.
Desi Chicken Curry (Rs 280) is a meaty delight. Liver Kassa (Rs 300) is overcooked and dry so not really enjoyable.
The fried Rohu Macha Besbhaja (Rs 130) is fried perfectly. The highlight of the meal is Chinguri Rai (Rs 220) with small prawns (with their shell on) in a mustard gravy. These small prawns are bursting with the sweet flavour of freshly caught prawns. With the shell on, their texture is like soft shell crabs. I love this dish. The fleshy and juicy Chilika Crab (Rs 210) is enjoyable too.
This is the place to go to for authentic Oriya food when in Bhubaneshwar, and also at Saket where they have an outlet.
